Re: Will Mike Pence act like a leader?

Let's suppose Pence goes with the 25th today (Wednesday the 13th) and with majority support from the Cabinet (or at least what's left of it) but Trump of course disputes it. So, both Houses of Congress would have to be back in session on the 15th to consider the matter. That's 5 days before the inau...

Re: Post your weird thoughts

I'm not there. I'm here. No you are not. I'm here and while you may be there, you are most certainly not here. Have you found my cat? I found a cat in a box. It had a collar with the name Schrödinger on it. That damn cat is everywhere and nowhere. Any word on the health of the cat? Not since he van...

Re: IS there anyone north of Madison?

I hear Canadians are nice Thanks YAG, a tad too far north but I do agree. I worked almost a decade in the training room of a professional hockey team, and 85% of them are Canadian. They were the nicest guys, polite, well-mannered, and they helped me to understand curling (I admit it...I'm hooked!)....

Re: The Election

Pres-Elect does not exist until the electoral college. Find a law or piece of constitution that says otherwise, and quote it. If so, I'll pick up your whisky, or whatever alien comparable, bar tab of yours. You can argue about the law all you want but what actually happens in the real world is diff...

Re: The Election

Vorlon, I present that there is no definition of "elect". Period. Thus, any/all Dem claims about this and that, are not based on what can be done. It is simply for the "ease of transition" that transitional things have been done in the past. Yes there's various laws. But note the Logan act. Anyone ...

Re: The Election

I don't think there is a precise definition of the term "president-elect." One can argue it does not apply until the Electoral College votes. In practice though, at least as far back as I can recall, the term starts getting used once there is a consensus among the media based upon the reported elect...

I'm kind of glad none of the ladies recounted theirs. Which could involve violence and kidnapping.
I've heard about a few of those kinds of experiences myself.

Re: Post your weird thoughts

I had "Here's Your Sign" moment once at Toys R Us. I was shopping in the action figure section (I collect Transformer action figures and they had a lot of exclusives there before they closed) and was examining my choices. A young kid that was about 7-8 years old came tearing down the aisle straight...
