The message system is not available until a new member has a certain number of posts. I'm not sure what the number is off the top of my head but it's not huge. I suggest you find the forum that matches the topic of your question and post the question in there. Also use the Search function. Many questions have already been asked and answered so you can find a lot of useful information, particular in forum you are in now.
