So, how do i infuse a Jack O'Lantern with the right spices to serve up Pumpkin Spice Squirrel?

Not a squirrel eater in the bunch.

Is that like a spiced rum? Add the spices to the rum in a jar, then let it sit for a little while (days?).

No that's obnoxious squirrel aggravation.

I had it also.
Two nice sized carve-able pumpkins,
Laid out in a nice display set on front deck.
The frigging squirrels chewed holes in the rind.
Tried to blame the dog for not running off the squirrels.
Dog just sat there with the winning expression of: You didn't let me outside, it's you humans that screwed up.
We'll have to buy more pumpkins for the carving contest.

The squirrel enters
Set the whole thing on fire
Ta da!

Do the spices get punched into the fruit inside, or through the outside?

Both should get the taste of the pumpkin into the squirrel, but only one seems likeliest to get the spice in, too.

Carpenter must be using the "shotgun method" of preparing squirrel. I'm thinking outside the box.

I wish. No firearms discharge in city limits. (Tell that to the criminals). The dog does get his exercise treeing them though. Dog actually sat out there for 5 hours the other day, with a smug smile, while a couple were sitting in tree being upset. Dog also ducked behind shed a few times, they'd come down almost to ground level, then he'd pop out to scare them.
