Re: Stock Market
Just inherited a very large amount and it's all sitting in cash. I am rolling in slowly and value is what I am buying. I think we may have a ways to go before we find bottom. I'd rather miss that bottom than lose a lot of money buying all the way down and have a prolonged recession. I'm 63 and retired, my goals may be different than others here.
I'm not totally useless. I can be used as a bad example.

Long term investments are definitely NOT on my agenda.

I would wait a few weeks before locking in a new mortgage rate. Might see another rate cut if congress doesn't do other things to stimulate the economy.

Re: Stock Market
Yes, waiting for that. Also waiting for more banks to drop rates. There's stories of low 3% out there, but lowest I've found is 3.4 on a 30

Re: Stock Market
Thanks for the tip. MIC had a good day yesterday so I might grab on the bounce down. I had a limit on Visa at 170 and got in. I figure if we go in a recession people will be running up them credit cards.

Agree. Strong chance they’re headed down, which is unbelievable to me considering the first home I bought was at 16 freakin percent!bushcutter wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 10:16 amI would wait a few weeks before locking in a new mortgage rate. Re: Stock Market
Very risky imo.
The market is scary.
Too much negative news and cancellations.

CNN
FOX News
Okay, 1st off. If true, action SHOULD be taken... But it won't......
2d - Look at the distinctions between reporting... Yes, I get the CNN Liberal, FOX Conservative.
But why can't CNN divulge the Democrat Senators? Is it not important?

Re: Stock Market
In Feinsteins case, if you're into insider trading, why would you sell stock in a biotech firm when the world is facing a pandemic? Stupid.
On the other hand Burr selling stock in the hotel and resort industry is a wise move totally unmotivated by his inside knowledge? Smart.
---
Meanwhile, I'm buying Delta and QANTAS stock. Both solid companies down to about 25% of what they were last week. They'll both bounce back.

Re: Stock Market
One of the biggest fears of all traders is the poor performance of the trading platform or online wallet. Some sites are not fully adapted to all systems, so what works well on android may not work on iPhone. Better to use trading platforms that you are confident in, or they always have tech support in case of anything. The most versatile software lately is the metatrader 5. This platform offers a wider selection of analytical tools and the ability to trade stocks, commodities, and currencies. I hope my recommendations will be useful to someone. I wish you good luck.

Re: Stock Market
Capital raising sounds promising. I never got the chance to try it. I've been sticking with day trading for quite some time. Perhaps, I should refocus on something else. Day trading doesn't seem to be as profitable for me anymore. I used to make so much more profit when I first started. I've been changing my strategies as well, but the past few months have been harsh. Could you share some of the https://forexstore.com/best-forex-robots you're using? Some strategies would be great too! I love sharing with fellow traders. I'm also in some groups on Telegram, if you're interested. Let me know, and good luck!
