Miller Park is beautiful, so if the Brewers are playing at home during your visit, I recommend catching a game. :)

Oh! Brewery tours! I've done Best Place (Pabst) and Miller.... both great, and you get to sample the product!

I also did a distillery tour: Great Lakes Distillery, which makes Kinnickinnic Whiskey.

This week, I'm in St. Louis and plan to do the Budweiser tour. Hmmmmm........ there seems to be a theme here! LOL :P

Grab something to eat at the Beergarden before the tour. Plenty of samples and an empty stomach not a good idea. recommend the brats and the pretzels :)

I had to look up what it's actually called -
Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory - the domes you can see from 94. I've never been, but I've heard it's pretty good.

The art museum is excellent. Love the east side and downtown. Cedarburg is just out of town. Pike lake is lovely. List is endless.

There's the burn down the neighborhood event going on right now.

Let's hope that does not become a tradition.

It already has in other parts of the country.

I'm sorry, but I honestly feel the racial divide has risen since we have Obama has President. He doesn't seem to be doing anything to help this issue either!

I understand their frustration ... after the economy Obama inherited from Bush (and lets just be clear on that ... it was in the toilet) it has pretty much recovered, but it hasn't been even.

As much as white guys bitch and moan that they aren't feeling the recovery (despite the fact they are now driving $30K+ pickup trucks and filling up on $2 gas) there are large parts of the community it really didnt recover for.

Not enough has been done in those sectors - but then again, they aren't making it easy to want to redevelop those communities with the shitty local attitudes. Burning down local businesses is a great way to attract other businesses to the area (sarcasm btw). A state senator who become the spokesperson in the area kept on saying that they were just "bricks and mortar" - and completely missed the fact those they now have people in the community suddenly out of work because a wannabe thug with a rap sheet a mile long ran from a BLACK cop while in possession of a STOLEN handgun that he wouldn't put down, and him getting shot set off the local kids on vacation to go looting and burning shit up.

I am empathetic to the whole BLM thing. There IS systemic targeting of black males by police. But when you see events like this, you can see why.
