Deposits
So it seems like every other ad in STG mentions needing a deposit for new clients. I just assume these are scams, but i wanted to check with the hive mind that im not being an out of touch dbag. This is a sign if a scam right? Its not some new thing with legit companions?

Re: Deposits
Every ad on STG asking for a deposit doesn't even know what city the ad is running in.
Definitely pig-in-the-poke scams

Re: Deposits
There are 4 people I'd give a deposit to. None of them ever advertise on STG.
The Twits asking for deposits 80% of the time think that Twitting is enough to establish that they're legit - but go nuts if you ask for 3rd party references like via GBN or any board, for that matter. I get why they dont want the nasties barraging them, I get it. But not even a regular who would confirm them?

Re: Deposits
None of my burner numbers links to this county, let alone this city. Just asking "What city can we arrange a visit in?" reveals the scam.

Re: Deposits
Be cautious of any ad on that site. 99% of STG is a scam. Maybe it's just the area I live in, but it seems unusable due to the amount of spam on there now.

You've got that right. None of the other advertising venues attracts anyone within 100 miles of here.

Re: Deposits
I agree and yes if they are asking for a deposit it is a scam and they don't know the city you saw their ad in. I have many times asked them what city or state they are in and their response is always "hey where are you located" and they do that to then look up a hotel and say whee their REDACTED is. I've seen them use LaQuinta, Red Roof in and Eastland or just an address. They always claim it is because they have been scammed so many times. Any of them asking for a deposit I will tag their name/number as deposit scam. Unfortunately I have experienced being burnt and ripped off by sending a deposit over the years and not one time did they ever come though or even reply to my text after that and they can be so convincing.thecause80 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 11:20 amSo it seems like every other ad in STG mentions needing a deposit for new clients. Re: Deposits
Not always. Legit/Professional ladies that tour will ask for at least a 50% deposit for insurance reasons. Maybe they also have suffered multiple No call/No shows, Time wasters, and LMC's (Last MInute Cancellations) which in turn would literally tank a ladies trip if she is expecting to gross a certain amount on tour. Minus, Hotel, Flight, Car rental, Gas, Food and whatever may pop up unexpected during a tour.thecause80 wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 11:20 amSo it seems like every other ad in STG mentions needing a deposit for new clients. Look at her website to find out what her policy is. We all run our business differently from one another. We are not a union. lol If her policy is not to your liking, then chances are there will be a lady that does not take deposits.
Example: when I am at home base in GR, I do not ask for a deposit. (See my cancellation policy), However, when I travel 'Out-of-State', I require a 50% deposit for everyone. Hope this helps.
