Unsexy Words
Look, some of the people who get into this business should be in a bar hustling drunks for Pocket change, not pretending they're high class escorts.
Text conversations that start with the following 3 words for me are the kiss of death:
Bae - it doesn't even have a clear definition. It's a clear sign of lazy diction and lazy thinking. Bye bye.
Babe - I don't know you, and a false pretense of familiarity and friendliness drives me bonkers. Bye bye.
And the total killer, and I don't care who you are:
Daddy. I'm not a pedophile. I'm not looking for a child, or a girl. I'm looking for a woman.

Re: Unsexy Words
I've never received the "daddy" in any text yet. But the "babe" seems to be Contractor 101. And that sorta drives me nuts. Most because I don't feel as if I'm a "babe"! I just assume it's easier to call someone "babe" then to remember their name?
At present I'd say I kinda have 2 FFN. One calls me honey, which is OK. While the other actually calls me by my name. Just as Larissa and Cody did. Which I find very refreshing.

I liked when either of those two called me god.

Re: Unsexy Words
It's pretty rare one calls me daddy. Usually I give them a shot at apologizing when I tell them I find it is eminently creepy.
Couple of nights, though, this entity (because it started feeling like a dude was responding) got pissy with me about it being "cute". I tried to calmly explain, and a tirade ensued.

I agree! I miss them both! Hopefully I'll enjoy Larissa's company again down the road.

Well, it degenerated to that AFTER it persisted AFTER I explained how it felt like it was catering to pedophiles.

also don't like being called daddy, I don't see younger ladies because I have a 19 y/o daughter, she is allowed to call me daddy,
Now AR calls me babe all the time, we are however, VERY familiar with each other.

Babe and Daddy definitely tick me off. For the same reasons you stated. Oddly "honey" doesn't, even though it's essentially the same approach as "babe"

The problem Yag it is NOT sexual harassment, she is just dumber than a box of rocks and I am sure she has called everyone her entire adult life HUN. She is actually a sweet and kind lady. I just go with the flow.

Re: Unsexy Words
LOL.
+1 on "Daddy".
Someone I've become close to called me daddy.
Told her thats not the relationship I'm looking for.
I know we have an age difference, but its not something I want to be reminded of.
It got sorted out.
And now she just calls me by me first name - and I am quite happy with that.

I was staying in a major conference hotel on Wacker in Chicago.
Rooms were comfortable, but the walls were a little thinner than expected or the neighbors a little louder than normal.
As we were getting ready to go out to dinner, we hear - thump - thump - thump - against the connecting wall and a very latina voice yelling "Ohhhhhhhhh Papi, harder, (thump) HARDER (thump), you muy strong and moocho grande."
On the hour, we left to get to our dinner reservation and ran into the guy being let out of the room. Unaccompanied.
Later that night we heard the same thing - a very latina voice yelling "Ohhhhhhhhh Papi, harder, (thump) HARDER (thump), you muy strong and moocho grande."
And again once more that night, and again just before breakfast.
I guess that was her "I woke up horny" equivalent.

You're uncomfortable with it. It creates a hostile work environment. It would be considered harassment.

I had no idea guys are bothered by those terms! I'm SUPER guilty of using "hun" and "babe" on a regular basis when speaking to people. Guys, friends, the gal who sells me my coffee..... although she'll always be babe to me, she makes damn good coffee
Maybe I should work on not using those terms so often though. The question being, what are the more preferred ways to address someone? Especially in situations when you don't know the persons name.

Re: Unsexy Words
I never call my clients babe or baby. When my boyfriend was alive, I used those words when I texted him. I wanted to keep something so intimate between him and I special. I was very aware of this because it was so important to me. I give so much of myself to my clients, there are some things I said and did only for him. It was my gift to him. We had some amazing sexual times!! Wow. I'm glad I saved some things only for him!!
Now I do have a habit of using other names for my clients, I call them babydoll, sweetpea. ...etc. It's just who I am and to give them a sense of comfort. It really is part of who I am. People I care for in my life, like my kids, I call them that also. So, if I use a cute name to u, that's a good thing. It means I care for u!

Re: Unsexy Words
I know some guys like to use a fake name. Like the ladies. I don't. Because it just doesn't feel very personal able. I like , when using my particular skill, when my female friend uses my name with God. Ohhhhhh God Babe. Ney....not so much. LOL

Re: Unsexy Words
I personally liked it when Hailey referred to me as hun or babe when texting me. Sometimes it's the little things that count. Keep it up Hailey, it sure made my day!!!Hailey wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 10:13 amI had no idea guys are bothered by those terms! I'm SUPER guilty of using "hun" and "babe" on a regular basis when speaking to people. Guys, friends, the gal who sells me my coffee..... although she'll always be babe to me, she makes damn good coffee![]()

Maybe I should work on not using those terms so often though. The question being, what are the more preferred ways to address someone? Especially in situations when you don't know the persons name.

Re: Unsexy Words
Oh no,
I am absolutely guilty of using the word babe. Working in the healthcare field with Dementia/Alzheimer's patients, I have added a collection of endearment terms to my daily vernacular. Hun, babe, sweetheart, love (Not in love but "Alright love", etc etc.). I say these without condensation but as a term of familiarity. Sorry loves if I caused offense but being yourself on here, as a Contractor, is much more fun than worrying about silly word usage.
Kisses
P.S. The word moist when used sexually is downright degrading to all mankind.

Re: Unsexy Words
I was always okay with Hailey calling me hun .. the only ones that bother me are 'daddy' especially during, and it reeks of hebephile to me. Also 'bae' if i don't have a level of familiarity, as with some girls, the term fits and others, not so much.
And if a girl/woman doesn't adjust to stated preferences, i start harassing back a little.

See, I heard his issue with "daddy" is that it doesn't sound dignified enough, and he prefers "Grand-pappy" instead

Some guys think you're a b*tch if you don't use those corny per names. I hate them myself. I prefer to be professional on the phone as this is the most business like part of the whole ordeal. But alas you have male and female clowns looking for their big breaks. Time wasters.

Re: Unsexy Words
Maybe I’m weird, but that kind of thing really doesn’t bother me. If someone calls me babe or hun or whatever, I don’t overthink it and just enjoy the fact that private parts are either being touched or about to be touched. Dirty talk is part of the fun, so I just roll with it. If she wants to call me Daddy, I’ll play along. I’m not imagining pedo shit, just indulging in a bit of taboo role play with another consenting adult.
