Look, some of the people who get into this business should be in a bar hustling drunks for Pocket change, not pretending they're high class escorts.

Text conversations that start with the following 3 words for me are the kiss of death:

Bae - it doesn't even have a clear definition. It's a clear sign of lazy diction and lazy thinking. Bye bye.

Babe - I don't know you, and a false pretense of familiarity and friendliness drives me bonkers. Bye bye.

And the total killer, and I don't care who you are:

Daddy. I'm not a pedophile. I'm not looking for a child, or a girl. I'm looking for a woman.

I've never received the "daddy" in any text yet. But the "babe" seems to be Contractor 101. And that sorta drives me nuts. Most because I don't feel as if I'm a "babe"! I just assume it's easier to call someone "babe" then to remember their name?

At present I'd say I kinda have 2 FFN. One calls me honey, which is OK. While the other actually calls me by my name. Just as Larissa and Cody did. Which I find very refreshing.

It's pretty rare one calls me daddy. Usually I give them a shot at apologizing when I tell them I find it is eminently creepy.

Couple of nights, though, this entity (because it started feeling like a dude was responding) got pissy with me about it being "cute". I tried to calmly explain, and a tirade ensued.

also don't like being called daddy, I don't see younger ladies because I have a 19 y/o daughter, she is allowed to call me daddy,

Someone I've become close to called me daddy.
Told her thats not the relationship I'm looking for.
I know we have an age difference, but its not something I want to be reminded of.
It got sorted out.

And now she just calls me by me first name - and I am quite happy with that.

I was staying in a major conference hotel on Wacker in Chicago.
Rooms were comfortable, but the walls were a little thinner than expected or the neighbors a little louder than normal.

You're uncomfortable with it. It creates a hostile work environment. It would be considered harassment.

Maybe I should work on not using those terms so often though. The question being, what are the more preferred ways to address someone? Especially in situations when you don't know the persons name.

I never call my clients babe or baby. When my boyfriend was alive, I used those words when I texted him. I wanted to keep something so intimate between him and I special. I was very aware of this because it was so important to me. I give so much of myself to my clients, there are some things I said and did only for him. It was my gift to him. We had some amazing sexual times!! Wow. I'm glad I saved some things only for him!!

Now I do have a habit of using other names for my clients, I call them babydoll, sweetpea. ...etc. It's just who I am and to give them a sense of comfort. It really is part of who I am. People I care for in my life, like my kids, I call them that also. So, if I use a cute name to u, that's a good thing. It means I care for u!

I am absolutely guilty of using the word babe. Working in the healthcare field with Dementia/Alzheimer's patients, I have added a collection of endearment terms to my daily vernacular. Hun, babe, sweetheart, love (Not in love but "Alright love", etc etc.). I say these without condensation but as a term of familiarity. Sorry loves if I caused offense but being yourself on here, as a Contractor, is much more fun than worrying about silly word usage.

I was always okay with Hailey calling me hun .. the only ones that bother me are 'daddy' especially during, and it reeks of hebephile to me. Also 'bae' if i don't have a level of familiarity, as with some girls, the term fits and others, not so much.
And if a girl/woman doesn't adjust to stated preferences, i start harassing back a little.

Maybe I’m weird, but that kind of thing really doesn’t bother me. If someone calls me babe or hun or whatever, I don’t overthink it and just enjoy the fact that private parts are either being touched or about to be touched. Dirty talk is part of the fun, so I just roll with it. If she wants to call me Daddy, I’ll play along.
