Good Lodging for Nooners
The SB lives near Cedar Rapids, I live near the Quad Cities. For a variety of reasons, our best time to meet seems to be 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Which is the exact time frame most hospitality properties reserve for housekeeping. Motel 6 in Moline is the best I've found so far, which isn't saying much.

If it flies, floats or [insert alliterative verb], a leasing arrangement may be your best option.

Some casino hotels are very accommodating to renting rooms during that time to people who have been gambling all night.

Try searching on "day use hotels".

I find that day use hotels are only available in big cities.
Try Airbnb with an early check in?
Is it financially feasible for you to pay rent at a cheap apt for her? I know it depends on her volume and how often you see her. I have an arrangement where one of my clients pays my rent and i see him weekly. For example if rent is 800 a month, it's essentially 200/meet for meeting 4 times a month. And studios should be around that amount.

I've had good luck at a couple of the hotels in Coralville during the week. Can usually get checked in at noon if they didn't book up the night before. Also several mid-level hotels around 33rd Ave in Cedar Rapids will do noonish check ins. I've even gotten checked in at noon at the Hampton but kind of depends on the desk clerk.
I'm not totally useless. I can be used as a bad example.

Get the GBN travel van from DM. He's only done some light exterior customization.

Re: Good Lodging for Nooners
I'm overdue in reporting my solution so far, Quality Inn and Suites, Moline. The room rate is less than $60 plus $10 for early check-in and they always have a room available at noon. The layout of the property is simple and discretely getting in and out is easy. The rooms have a refer and a nuke, and they're clean and comfortable.
The place is family-owned and I'm recognized as a regular, which I'm not too concerned about. While they are friendly, they are also discrete. In the dozen times I've checked-in, I've never had so much as a raised eye-brow as to why I was checking in to a hotel ten miles from my home.
Highly recommended.
