Maybe we’ll start sending HIM in instead of DM. Isn’t that what you do with a stunt cock?

I can't remember which book it was when Harry introduced himself as auditioning as a stunt cock for a porn film.

And the movie orgasmo used the term stunt cock.

I am a huge fan of the Dresden Files!!! Love everything about Jim butcher's character Harry Dresden but what's not to love a gumshoe detective noir meets Warlock set in a geographically accurate Chicago doesn't get much better than that.

I really liked the Dresden Files as well, but when I read the name, I first thought of Orgasmo .. it's a runner joke thru the movie that gets funnier every time it's used.

Well, the "geographical accuracy" component was WAY out of track in the first 4 in the series. Butcher at that point was basing it on maps and his familiarity and experience with his home metro, Kansas City. He had no real feel of the immensity of Chitown by comparison, and I really chuckled at some of it. I took him to lunch just before #5 was released and pointed it out to him.

His editor hired a consultant to check for accuracy afterward.

The church is REAL. That thing is HUGE, and quite a monument. And the back door is where it's mentioned in the stories.

Interesting I'm gonna have to re-read the first five which isn't a bad thing, it's been quite a while since I did, to see what I can pick up on. Thanks for the info :D

Storm Front definitely has the hardest misconception of moving about in the city and its environs.

Rereading Storm Front, Fool Moon, and Grave Peril was as enjoyable the second time as it was the first. I love the development of Jim Butcher as a writer in tandem to the development of his character Dresden. Reading the series from the first book somewhat rough around the edges with Dresden a slightly cheesy character to the latest installment refined and multidimensional has brought me so many hours of enjoyment. Every time I read these stories I laugh out loud and feel invested in the characters and their journey. There's nothing greater than a book that once read feels like a memory you lived.

I love a reader, especially one with such good taste.

And, well, great butt.
